The RAs publish today, 26th November, a preferred options paper by the SOs on all-island locational TUoS and TLAFs, for a second round of public consultation. An RA cover note on this issue is also published with the paper. It should be noted that the preferred options for TUoS and TLAFs advanced by the SOs in their consultation paper may not necessarily be the final options decided upon by the RAs in 2010.
In tandem with the publication of this consultation paper there will be a workshop on 9th December in Dundalk, which will give stakeholders the opportunity to raise issues about the paper with the SOs and RAs. In relation to the consultation paper linked above the Transmission System Operators on the Island of Ireland would like to draw attention to section 6.1.8 "Charging Threshold for Distribution Connected Generators" of the consultation paper "Preferred Options to be considered for the Implementation of Locational Signals on the Island of Ireland". As a result of feedback from the industry during previous consultations, the System Operators are proposing a change to the charging threshold. This applied to Distribution Connected Generators above 5MW. For more information please refer to section 6.1.8 of the Locational Signals consultation paper.
